SPECIFICATIONS
Theme: Environment and Climate Change
“Driven by technological development and economic growth, our world is subject to constant changes.
The problems of global warming, deforestation, extinction of plant and animal species, depletion of natural resources
and pollution are all associated with these changes, issues which threaten life on the planet, its nature and our future.
“Aware of the changes since it was founded, Kaplanlar Refrigeration has always striven to develop eco-friendly products and services,
to reduce carbon footprints and support sustainable living. In fact, we believe that the cooling and refrigeration
sector can make a positive contribution to the challenge of getting climate change under control.
“Therfore, with the aim of keeping the public's attention focussed on environmental issues, Kaplanlar Refrigeration announces
its 'International Cartoon Competition' on the theme of 'Environment and Climate Change.'”
Participation Deadline: December 31, 2017
Participation: Each participant may submit up to 3 works.
(The works should be in 300-dpi jpg format and in A4 size (21x29.7 cm
The works should be sent to cartoon@kaplanlar.com
The cartoons may have been published before but they should not have been awarded in any other contest
In order to identify plagiarization and similarity, the cartoons sent are going
to be published on the Facebook account of Kaplanlar Refrigeration:
https://www.facebook.com/kaplanlarsogutma between the dates 2-9 January 2018.
The objections raised after these dates are not going to be taken into consideration.
. By participating in this competition, the artists who have sent their works to the competition are going to be deemed
to have accepted that they have given all rights of use of their works (such as poster, newsletter, TV commercial, internet,
exhibition, invitation, brochure, calendar, CD, DVD, video etc.) to Kaplanlar Refrigeration Industry and Trade Inc.
on condition that they are not going to be used for commercial purposes.

The GIN Foundation (Humoristan) and the Quevedo Institute of the Arts of Humor (IQH) call the 7th GIN Graphic Humor Contest
PARTICIPATION Anyone who wishes to participate in the contest, both individually and jointly between screenwriter and draftsman
HUMOR AND THEMATIC The works presented must have a humorous intention The theme is free
FORMAT AND EXTENSION
The presentation will be in paper or digital. The work must be published on paper: vignette, strip, comic page Maximum size: A4. For digital format, it should be sent in JPG at 300dpi
LANGUAGE Works are admitted in any of the official languages of Spain. Those that come from outside of Spain and contain text must be labeled in Spanish.
Nº OF WORKS AND ORIGINALITY
Each participant may submit a maximum of four proposals. All submitted works must be unpublished.
SHIPPING
The deadline for delivery of the works is December 10, 2017
Originals, reproductions and works in digital are accepted. The works that will not be returned,
will become part of the fund of the Graphic Humor Documentation Center of the Quevedo Institute of the
Arts of Humor (IQH) of the FGUA. In the case of the originals, the author who wishes may request a donation certificate.

AWARDS
The Graphic Humor Contest GIN consists of 3 prizes, which have the following economic allowance (gross): 1st prize: 600 euros 2nd prize: 400 euros 3rd prize: 200 euros The awarded works will be published on the websites iqh.es and humoristan.org.
JURY
The jury of the graphic humor contest GIN will be chosen by the Quevedo Institute of Humor Arts of the FGUA and by Humoristan The jury reserves the right to declare any of the prizes void or to propose another nominative distribution The decision of the jury will be made within a period of 2 months after the deadline for submission of papers The verdict will be communicated to the winners and published on the websites iqh.es and humoristan.org
Participation in this contest implies acceptance of these rules The organization reserves the right, if necessary, to introduce those modifications it deems necessary for a better functioning of the contest The organization is not responsible for the works submitted to the contest
The best works will be part of an exhibition that will be held in the first half of 2018 in Alcalá de Henares
